PORSCHE 993 WORKSHOP MANUAL – PORSCHE WORKSHOP MANUAL

The Porsche 993 was the 911 model sold between 1994 and early 1998. The 993 was the replacement for the Porsche 964.
Porsche made several variants of the 993 including the Carrera, Carrera Cabriolet and Targa, Turbo, Turbo S, Carrera RS and GT2.
The Carrera was the entry level version of the Porsche 993. It was available in either rear or all-wheel drive versions. To identify the two different versions a “Carrera 2″ badge adorned the rear of the two wheel drive version, while the all-wheel-drive model recived a “Carrera 4″ badge. However they are often reffered to as the C2 or C4 versions by enthusiasts.
Powering the 993 Carrera was a naturally aspirated 3.6 litre, flat-6 cylinder engine. This developed around 285 horsepower @ 6,100 rpm.
